POSITION SUMMARY:

The Field Sales Engineer will cover the Ark-La-Tx territory and plays a vital role by interpreting a customer’s technical requirements and communicating service features that EnviroVac can offer. The Field Sales Engineer must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills. This role will be responsible for selling into new prospects as well as farming back existing customers to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify target companies through cold calling (phone & in person), follow up on marketing leads, and through partnerships.
  • Perform site surveys to develop a plan and recommendation for the customer.
  • Partnering with operations, generate proposals for and services.
  • Present proposals, product overviews and demonstrations and recommended support services.
  • Follow up on proposals, phone calls and visits.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow through to a resolution.
  • Develop a strong customer base to maximize sales volume and profitability.
  • Coordinate with appropriate departments and personnel to ensure service expectations are met for current customers.
  • Develop and execute strategies to generate revenue through the sales and services to new and existing accounts.
  • Partner with EVP sales and marketing and area managers to develop short and long-term strategies and sales goals and to ensure sales, quality, and operations objectives are being met.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of what the customer will need in terms of ongoing service and manage expectations on the customer and sales side.
  • Be able to think critically and suggest improvements that might lead to cost savings or other customer benefits.
  • Research the industry on an on-going basis to know what changes may be on the horizon that will impact current and future sales.
  • Perform miscellaneous functions to satisfy customer requirements.

  • Proven track record of successful outbound sales experience, preferably in the industry facilities industry
  • Demonstrated organizational, oral, written, and listening skills

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent required. Associates Degree in Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, or Sales and Marketing preferred
  • Proficient computer skills and account management skills
  • 2+ years of related industry experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE USED:

  • Office equipment including computer, phone, fax machine, copier and calculator
  • Microsoft Office including, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.

 TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to organize various office systems through adjusting, connecting, lifting pulling, pushing, bending or folding for the purpose of proper record development and/or management.
  • Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard or mouse or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation
  • Walking and stair-climbing on client’s sites during the job-bid process and in support of actual client services being performed (e.g. outages, etc.)
  • Lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Possess speaking skills and hearing ability to interact with customers on the telephone.
