Technical Skills Trainer (Internal)

Position Summary:
The Technical Skills Trainer plays a vital role in employee development and workforce readiness. This position supports team members across field and operational roles, helping them grow professionally and succeed in their positions. The Talent Coach focuses on onboarding, skills development, performance improvement, employee engagement, and aligning talent with operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Employee Development & Coaching
  • Deliver individualized coaching to frontline and field employees to support job success, career growth, and performance improvement
  • Implement and track training development programs
  • Assist employees in building both technical and soft skills needed for advancement
Onboarding & Training
  • Lead onboarding skill training for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the company culture and operations
  • Coordinate and facilitate training, safety protocols, equipment handling, compliance, and best practices in industrial service delivery
  • Support certification and license tracking where applicable
Performance Support
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to identify performance gaps and coach employees to improve
  • Provide feedback and guidance to improve job readiness, teamwork, and communication
  • Document coaching interactions and track employee training progress
Engagement & Retention
  • Act as a trusted resource and advocate for employees in the field
  • Support retention by helping build a positive, supportive work environment
  • Identify barriers to employee success and partner with leadership to address them
  • Passionate & enthusiastic about training with a hands-on mind set 
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in industrial cleaning: hydroblasting and industrial vacuuming
  • Experience in automation is preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in talent development, coaching, or operations support preferred
  • 2+ years of holding a Class A CDL without restrictions
  • Extensive knowledge of job set up (rigging up, needed equipment, best practices for job specific execution decision making), equipment maintenance/troubleshooting, and safety protocols
  • Experience in general industry is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a coaching mindset
  • Ability to build rapport and trust across diverse roles and backgrounds
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed
  • Willingness to expand training portfolio
